David Cook wants to be Speaker of the Texas House…
but he voted to IMPEACH our conservative Attorney General Ken Paxton, one of Trump’s biggest allies.
Cook is supported by taxpayer-funded lobbyists and voted against a measure that would have ended tax incentives for companies that fund out-of-state abortions and gender modification surgeries on children.
Cook also voted to raise property taxes. And even said, “If you cut taxes, you give up quality of life.”
We can’t have a liberal like David Cook in power.
We need consistent conservative leadership to keep the conservative victories in Texas.
And that’s definitely not opportunist David Cook.

*In 2008 Cook voted for a tax increase. “In 2008, Cook voted for a two-cent property tax increase. While Cook said it was his goal to avoid any increases, he said the increase was needed for the city to purchase emergency equipment, which he held as a priority.” (Bailey Shiffler, “City Council Receives Progress Report Card,” Mansfield News-Mirror, 1/1/09).
